As a parent of three young children, Dr. Collins understands the needs and concerns involved with family medical care. She also has years of experience in caring for adolescents and young adults as well as those with multiple complex or age-related medical issues.
Dr. Collins is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University and a Master of Science in Public Health in maternal and child health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Collins received her MD degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at the University of North Carolina. Her other interests include singing and playing the piano, cycling, theatre, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
